The new shedd.

Thought I would share some photos of the new shed being built on the farm. It's 60ft by 120ft. Dan's going to use it as a machine shop and storage area in the winter.

He really does need somewhere to work during cold winter months.
I keep teasing him that we could easily live in it.
He said no, so there goes the new house idea.

Desk decoration.

Thought I would show off some spring deorations that I took to work.
I saw this at a scrapbook store I went to. I got the pails from Wal-mart, along with some artifical flowers, took the flowers off the stems then using pencils I hot glued the flowers into the eraser end, (I removed the erasers). Then using floral tape I wrapped the pencils to the end. If you wanted you could sharpen the ends and use them to write with. The "flowers" stand up in the pail with the help of some black beans I got from the farm.
They're a big hit at work. Most everyone thinks the flowers are real!

Friends and gift baskets.

This is Dawn and Lynn. I sat at their table during the mingle.

I met Dawn last year after one of my appointments in Lapeer. She was gracious enough to meet me at Archiver's. When I told my sis that I was meeting Dawn, she thought I was crazy for meeting someone I met on the internet. I had no worry's about it.

This would be Maria and Keli.

They were also at the same table. This was taken on Saturday morning, hence the pj's they're wearing. They had matching slippers and pj pants. I learned alot from the table I was sitting at. Maria got me hooked on Copic markers, Keli shared stamping tips, and Dawn showed me how Prisma pencils work.

Here are the gift baskets I took to the mingle. The brown basket was a gift for my little sis. I was given a little sis to send treats to prior to the mingle. Because this was the reveal gift I packed it with ribbon, stickles, acrylic stamps and a couple cuttle bug folders.

The green basket was a door prize. If you took a door prize, your name was put into a raffle and you go to choose one in exchange. When it was my turn, I choose Dawn's. It was beautiful. All hand made cards, tags, and container.

Look what I won!

What a great weekend!!! All of my Michigan Mingler friends met at the Bay Valley Resort for a wonderful weekend of stamping, gabbing, and relaxation. The first night some of us stayed up til 1 a.m. just chatting away. Saturday a handful of us stayed up til 3 a.m. Yeah, it was late but everyone had hilarious stories to tell. It felt like a huge family reunion.

The picture above is from a demonstrator from Artdeclassified.com com. It was great! We were all give a gift bag with a stamp set especially made for the mingle, along with a coupon and a "book" made of different items such as envelopes, tags, id badges and much more.

The gift bags were also used for a give away. Each bag had a dot on it, and whatever color you had you won a prize. Then the demo announced that 2 bags had a torn piece of paper in it. Whoever had this won a Crop-a-dile BigBite. Guess What?! I won! I couldn't believe it! I was so surprised! Now I have new toy to play with.

Pudding Shots and Lunch.

(Picture: Laura, Patty, Micky, Jill, Dawn, Kelli, and Lorien)

Can you guess what these ladies are enjoying!

Puddin Shots!

Last year after the end of the mingle, I had asked if anyone had ever tried these. Since I would be attending the minlge this year I offered to bring some. They were a big hit! I made 3 different kinds; Raspberry Cheesecake, Chocolate, and Bj's.

The two pics above are from the lunch we got gathered for after checking into the hotel, but before checking in for the mingle.

We ate at Outback Steakhouse in Saginaw. The food was great, but the company was even better. We were all excited to meet each other after months of chatting online.

Sorry for not posting :(

Sorry I haven't been on lately. Trying to get caught up on lots of "happenings".

Since my last post, we've gotten the farm truck back from the body shop. As some of you know my father in law was in an accident with the white farm truck and cattle trailer. Back in January he was on his way home from the stock yards with the trailer empty and a gust of wind caught the trailer and swung it around against the truck. Pushed the truck into the ditch on the other side of the road, busted two windows out and pretty much totalled the truck. Luckily Dan's dad wasn't hurt at all, mostly shook up, but walked away unscathed. Dan took it to the local body shop where parts were replaced and now it looks brand new. I'll have to add some pics of before it was fixed later.

Aside from that, been uneventful. Just waiting for the snow to melt so we can start planting. Dan's also been helping on the new shedd going up at the farm.

The sun's out today, so make sure you enjoy it. Be safe.

I'll post again soon.
