This is a card I'm making for a co worker to give out as "thank you" cards for her upcoming baby shower. She really likes moose, and I received this during my mingle weekend at the Bay Valley Resort.

Sugar beets are in!!!

Just wanted to post a quick note that sugar beets are in!!
Dan finished on Saturday.
Now all we have to do is wait for some rain and hopefully the wind will not kick up when the buds start to come out of the ground. The wind will actually "blow off" the seedlings as they push thru. The roots aren't long enough to keep them anchored to the ground. Sometimes a field will have to be replanted. Hopefully that won't happen this year.
Stay dry everyone!

2nd day of planting

Well as you all know by now it's time to plant the fields. Dan actually started yesterday. I was suppose to be out in this tractor working the field, but my father in law decided he was going to try driving today.

He said he saw the tractor sitting there and thought it was a shame that it wasn't working the field.

This is Dan and his tractor. I had to take more beet seed up to him this afternoon.

My new cabinet!

I have to show off my new craft cabinet. I need somewhere to put all my scrapbooking/cardmaking supplies. About a week ago, Dan and I took a trip to Port Huron. We went to Lowe's looking for something that would be sturdy enough.

The cabinet measures 6ft tall, 4ft wide, and 20inches deep.

Doesn't it look great! I was all excited about getting put together and filled with my many supplies. This will give me extra room on my table to do bigger projects.

More progress on the shedd.

Well here's the first wall! Dan was so excited!
It's been moving at a slow pace, it rained and the wind has been pretty strong lately.

As you can see the building is slowly starting to take shape.

The new shedd.

Thought I would share some photos of the new shed being built on the farm. It's 60ft by 120ft. Dan's going to use it as a machine shop and storage area in the winter.

He really does need somewhere to work during cold winter months.
I keep teasing him that we could easily live in it.
He said no, so there goes the new house idea.
